The BTBC offers nearly 60,000 square feet of office, wet and dry laboratory space at its Main, Expansion, and KUMC Facilities.
BTBC Main Facility
The BTBC Main Facility, completed in 2010, is located on the University of Kansas West Campus among rolling woods and prairie grasses native to Lawrence. This new facility offers 21,400 square feet of office, wet & dry lab space. It is situated near several other prominent University research buildings including the Multidisciplinary Research Building and the new School of Pharmacy building, now under construction. BTBC Expansion Facility
The BTBC Expansion Facility is located near KU campus at 4950 Research Parkway. The building is comprised of over 17,000 square feet of additional office and wet lab space. It is already home to local bioscience company CritiTech, a Lawrence-based bioscience company whose lead small-molecule compound, Nanotax®, is currently in Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of ovarian cancer. The BTBC Expansion Facility is designed for BTBC Main Facility graduates and serves the needs of larger, more established bioscience and technology companies. [Learn more]
BTBC KUMC Facility
The BTBC KUMC Facility is located on the Kansas University Medical Center Campus in Kansas City, Kansas. The building features over 20,000 square feet of office and wet lab space, and is home to companies OsteoGeneX, Aptakon, and Orbis Biosciences.
Phase II
Land adjacent to the BTBC Main Facility is designated for an additional facility providing another 20,000-30,000 square feet of private space as demand materializes.
